Enter one or more page ranges and PDFflow creates a separate PDF for each one — a single PDF download for one range, or a ZIP archive when a split produces several files. Processing happens locally: the file is not uploaded to PDFflow servers, and no account is required.

How it works

  1. Choose one PDF under 50 MB and 200 pages.
  2. Enter one or more page ranges, for example 1-3, 4-6, 8, separated by commas.
  3. Review the calculated output list before splitting.
  4. Split the PDF and download the result — one PDF for a single range, or a ZIP archive for several.

How files are handled

Your PDF is read and processed directly in this browser. PDFflow does not upload the document, file name or page contents to its servers.

Typical uses

  • Separate chapters or sections into individual files.
  • Pull a specific page range out of a longer report.
  • Break a scanned batch into per-document PDFs.

Limitations

  • Encrypted and password-protected PDFs are not supported.
  • Digital signatures, bookmarks, attachments and some form behavior may not survive creating new PDFs.
  • Up to 50 output files are supported per split.
  • Splitting by bookmarks or automatic content detection is not included in the current version.

Is Split PDF free?

Yes. Splitting a PDF is free to use, with no account, sign-up or watermark.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The split runs in your browser with the selected file. This tool does not send the PDF, its file name or page contents to PDFflow servers.

Can I split every page into a separate PDF?

Yes. Use the "Split every page" shortcut to create one file per page, up to the 50-file limit per split.

Can I enter several page ranges?

Yes. Separate ranges with commas, for example 1-3, 4-6, 8. Each entry becomes its own output PDF.

What happens when I create several files?

When a split produces two or more files, PDFflow packages them into one ZIP archive for download. A single range downloads directly as one PDF.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported and are not bypassed.

Does splitting change the original PDF?

No. The original file is read in the browser and new PDF files are generated for download.
