Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of PDFflow, available at pdfflow.org (“PDFflow,” the “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

PDFflow is an independently operated online service based in Ukraine.

By accessing or using PDFflow, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service

PDFflow provides browser-based tools for working with PDF files, including merging documents, rotating pages, reordering pages, deleting pages, and extracting pages.

PDFflow is not a document-storage service, backup service, electronic-signature provider, legal service, certification authority, or records-management system.

Features, limits, and supported formats may change over time.

2. Local PDF processing

The current PDF tools process selected PDF content locally in the user’s browser.

PDFflow’s servers do not receive the contents of selected PDF files as part of the normal operation of these tools.

Processing a file locally does not transfer ownership of the file or its contents to PDFflow.

Users are responsible for:

• keeping an original file and appropriate backups;
• reviewing every processed result;
• downloading and safely storing the result;
• clearing browser data when using a shared or public device.

Local processing does not eliminate every possible technical or security risk. Browser extensions, device software, hosting infrastructure, networks, or other systems outside PDFflow’s control may affect use of the Service.

3. Eligibility

You may use PDFflow only if you are legally capable of accepting these Terms.

If you use PDFflow for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act on its behalf.

4. Your files

You retain all rights you have in files processed through PDFflow.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to use and process each file.

Do not use PDFflow for files or content that:

• infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights;
• contain unlawful material;
• were obtained without required permission;
• violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or contractual duty.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use PDFflow for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
• disrupt, overload, damage, or impair the Service;
• bypass technical or security restrictions;
• introduce malware or malicious files;
• probe or test the Service for vulnerabilities without written permission;
• automate requests in a way that materially interferes with normal operation;
• impersonate PDFflow or falsely claim affiliation with it;
• violate another person’s rights.

6. Important documents

PDFflow may be used with contracts, invoices, forms, records, and other important documents, but users remain responsible for reviewing every output before relying on it.

PDF operations may affect page order, orientation, metadata, forms, layers, bookmarks, accessibility information, digital signatures, seals, certificates, timestamps, or other document characteristics.

Keep the original file and verify the downloaded result before sending, signing, submitting, printing, archiving, or otherwise using it.

PDFflow does not provide legal, financial, accounting, medical, compliance, or other professional advice.

7. Digital signatures and certified documents

PDFflow is not an electronic-signature platform, trust service, notary service, certification authority, or document-authentication service.

Editing or reorganising a PDF may invalidate or affect signatures, seals, certificates, timestamps, form data, or verification features.

You are responsible for determining whether a processed document remains legally and technically valid for its intended purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The PDFflow name, branding, website content, design elements, and software owned by or licensed to the operator are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Open-source components remain governed by their respective licences.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of PDFflow intellectual property to users.

9. Third-party services

PDFflow may rely on or link to third-party hosting, email, infrastructure, documentation, or other services.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. PDFflow is not responsible for third-party availability, security, content, or practices.

10. Availability

PDFflow is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, browser incompatibility, hosting failures, network problems, security incidents, legal requirements, or circumstances outside reasonable control.

11. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PDFflow makes no express or implied warranties regarding:

• uninterrupted availability;
• error-free operation;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• compatibility with every PDF, browser, device, or workflow;
• preservation of every document feature;
• accuracy or completeness of processed output;
• protection against every possible threat.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PDFflow and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of data, revenue, profit, business opportunity, goodwill, or anticipated savings.

PDFflow is not responsible for loss caused by:

• failure to keep an original file or backup;
• failure to review a processed result;
• corruption, incompatibility, or loss of document features;
• invalidation of signatures, certificates, forms, or metadata;
• software, devices, browser extensions, networks, or services outside PDFflow’s control;
• use of the Service in breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

13. Monetisation and commercial relationships

PDFflow may in the future be supported through advertising, affiliate relationships, sponsorships, paid tools, subscriptions, or other monetisation methods.

If a future monetisation method materially changes how user data is processed, the Privacy Policy will be updated before that technology is enabled, and consent mechanisms will be introduced where legally required.

Affiliate or sponsored relationships do not give advertisers or partners access to the contents of PDF files processed locally through the Service.

14. Service protection

Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, or prevent material harm.

15. Privacy

Use of PDFflow is also governed by thePrivacy Policy.

16. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the Service, legal requirements, or operating practices change.

The revised version will be published with an updated date. Continued use after publication means acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.

17. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Ukraine, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives a user the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory rights that cannot legally be waived.

If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

18. Language

The English version of these Terms controls in the event of a conflict between translations, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
